Regal Air and City University open their doors to higher education in Aviation
City University, founded in 1973, is a private, not for profit university with a mission
of making education accessible to all who desire to learn. Through City University’s Prior
Learning Assessment (PLA) program, current students and graduates of Regal Air
can now translate their pilot training into undergraduate college
credit. City University offers Regal Air students an opportunity to choose from
a wide range of affordable graduate, undergraduate, and associate degree and certificate programs.
Regal Air’s educational goal is to offer our students a full range of FAA pilot
certifications while achieving an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
Aviation students may enroll in one of three schools: the School of Business and Management,
the School of Human Services and Applied Behavioral Sciences, or the Gordon Albright School
of Education.
City University offers on-line and distance learning programs as well as day, evening and weekend
classes to more than 11,000 students worldwide. The University is an Equal Opportunity institution
accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities of the Northwest Association of
Schools and of Colleges and Universities.
City
University’s Transfer Students from Community and Technical College
Program
City University believes in giving credit
where credit is due. Full Credit. That is why the University will
accept up to 90 credits from an Associate’s degree earned from an
accredited community or technical college and apply them toward your
Bachelor’s degree. They will also accept up to 90 credits even if
you don’t have a degree.
City University’s Prior Learning
Assessment Program
City University recognizes that learning
occurs in many different ways and under varied circumstances. As a
result, the University has designed its Prior Learning Assessment (PLA)
program to enable students to earn undergraduate college credits for
knowledge acquired through documented experiential learning, such as
pilot training.
The main principle
underlying the assessment of prior learning experience is the belief
that the knowledge acquired by students is more important than where
or the manner in which they learn it.
