Frequently Asked Questions
|

|

|

What makes your aircraft different from the other flight schools?

Selection and quality. Our fleet
includes 4 Cessna 150 and 152s, and 8 Cessna 172s. Regal Air offers high performance and complex aircraft, including 2
Cessna Cardinal RGs. Our fleet is rounded out with a 6 seat Cessna 205 and a multi-engine Piper Seneca. Regal Air is able to provide flight training
for Private through Airline Transport Pilot certificates, as well as supplying a wide selection of aircraft for our rental customers.
Every airplane on our line includes all seat intercom systems that allow clear communication between the pilot, Air Traffic Control, flight
instructors and passengers. The instrument training and high-performance aircraft include dual Nav/Comms, and several have DME and autopilot equipment.
Why should I fly at an airport with a control tower?

With the continuing increase in controlled airspace, it is important for pilots to develop the necessary radio communication skills early in their training
so they can operate effectively in the various types of airspace. Training at a tower controlled airfield provides an excellent training environment in this
regard. The Tower Controller's job is to control and direct aircraft that are taking off, landing, and moving about the airport. This provides extra safety
in the separation of aircraft.
What about your flight instructors?

Regal Air employs 14 full-time flight instructors; they have knowledge over a wide variety of airplanes in addition to being instrument and multi-rated instructors.
We are proud to offer flight instructors who are among the safest and most competent in the aviation community.
Ground school instructors teach regularly scheduled courses to prepare students for the FAA written exams. Instructors are also available on an individual basis
for pilots who may desire a little extra review of any aeronautical subject.
Who maintains your aircraft?

All Regal Air aircraft are maintained "In House" by FAA Certificated Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics and Inspectors employed by Regal Air. All maintenance
is performed and accomplished to approved FAA standards and regulations. This means all maintenance is accomplished in a timely manner by mechanics that are
already intimately familiar with each airplane.
